Wound Care

Monroe Wheelchair has joined with Mission Health Concepts to develop a clinical partnership across the wound care continuum. We take great pride in being an organization that does more than just provide innovative products and excellent service. Through a creative and comprehensive approach to wound care, we are able to provide evidence-based wound care solutions along with a level of service and partnership that often gets lost in today’s cost-driven health care environment.

Support Surfaces and Specialty Beds

We offer an advanced series of powered and non-powered mattress replacement systems featuring multiple clinical modalities; Low Air Loss, Alternating Pressure, and Lateral Rotation. These mattresses are considered dynamic support surfaces and include innovative features to give the ultimate pressure relief.

Negative Pressure Wound Therapy

Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) is a very effective therapeutic wound treatment. We proudly offer the Medela NPWT system to help health care professionals manage the clinical needs of their patients. Medela provides user friendly pumps, foam and gauze wound dressing kits, and multiple drain options.

Tissue Oxygenation

The TransCu O2® is an oxygen delivery system that provides a continuous flow of oxygen to a moist wound. With a 77 percent success rate, the TransCu O2 system demonstrates an ability to close wounds that were unresponsive to other advanced therapies. It is designed to feed a continuous stream of pure oxygen directly to an oxygen-compromised wound. Innovative design and advanced technology allows for portable and continuous delivery of oxygen.

Pressure Mapping

Monroe Wheelchair utilizes the XSENSOR® Technology Pressure mapping system for use in mattress and cushion selection; patient education, and pressure ulcer prevention to deliver the practical, real-world benefits of personal comfort and patient safety.
